Dr. Mills and his entire staff are extraordinary . I have never had a better experience with dentistry or the comforting environment the staff provides. When I first moved to the area. I needed a permanent dental bridge put in, the other dentist that was practicing there did it, who is no longer there, not Dr. Mills. Anyhow it broke a lil less than 3 years later. Went back in and Dr. Mills did the honorable thing and made me a new bridge at no additional cost to me. That is the correct way to do business and much appreciated by me. Dr. Mills is the best. I have worked in the medical field for many years and this is the right way to treat patients. More

I have a 30 year fear of going to the dentist, And I was 100% comfortable with Dr. Mills. He was kind compassionate and understanding of my fears. I really hate to go to the dentist & because of this fear, it has been at least 10 years since I’ve seen one. I’ve recently started having some major issues & had to make myself go in for treatment. The whole staff was awesome! From the time I entered the building I was treated with the utmost respect. I’ve never had a bad experience here. As soon as you walk through the door they welcome you by name. They are very patient and kind. I am very nervous when I go to the dentist, but as soon as you get in the chair the nurses make you feel very comfortable and Dr. Mills will make you laugh. Dr. Mills has a great personality. I had sedation dentistry done today and although I have a very low pain tolerance I’ve never been so pleased with the minimal pain I feel. Highly recommend Dr.Mills at Market Common Dentistry . I have severe anxiety and dental phobia . He put my mind at ease from the very first appt. Went in for my procedure( filling and cleaning) and was given a concoction of meds to help me relax. I would otherwise hyperventilate and have a panic attack. I can’t tell you what happened after that as I don’t remember and that’s how I like it . So 5/5 stars for sure. More

Am NOT a fan of going-to-the-dentist (after having to have ALL my baby teeth pulled as a child; then, a decade+ of orthodontia and fillings (since we had no fluoride on our water, i.e. deemed a Communist conspiracy in the '50s); then on to several decades of periodontal treatments/root canals/crowns and (elective) veneers...aside from wisdom teeth extractions.I swear, I have spent a large part of my life in a dental chair. (I have financed, I conjecture, the sailboats and antique collections of previous dentists) Thus, I have deep-rooted disquietude whenever I have to go to the dentist.That being said, although I still do not wake up w. a spring-in-my-step on days when I have a dental appt, Christine and Dr. Mills do their very best to make my visits (every 3 months) beyond bearable.I highly recommend Market Common Dentistry--for their skill, long-term care plans, and comfort during treatments. Mine has been a long journey with Dr. Mills 3 years so far I started my journey with implants in PA when I moved here in 2017 it took a while for me to find a dentist. I made an appointment and met with Lisa and Dr. Mills and we made a plan well on paper it was great but it didn’t always go well but he pushed forward and came up with a better plan and let me tell you I got my implants finally the last phase yesterday and I am more confident now then I have ever been and I can finally smile thank you Dr.Mills Lisa Christine Robin and Kim and everyone else in that office. Everyone in this office was very friendly and attentive. Hygienist Becky was absolutely wonderful. She was personable, knowledgeable and gentle in her cleaning procedure. I had my 6 month checkup today and was a little apprehensive, however the entire experience went very well and the staff went out of there way to make sure my visit went well. Christine, my hygienist came out to my car to ask me a few questions and take my temperature which was 100.7, I thought I was going to be turned away however Christine said come inside your temp may come down inside. By the time I went inside my temperature down to 97.5 and my checkup went well. BTW, when Dr Mills came in to look me over, I told him I learned something today and told him the temp story. Until finding Market Common Dentistry, I had experienced horrible visits at the dentist, which made me very nervous and anxious about going to the dentist, so I did not go to the dentist, and let my teeth and mouth deteriorate to the point where I had to do something about restoring my smile, and get it healthy again. Dr Mills and the staff at Market Common Dentistry have been so understanding of my fears, and have always made my experiences comfortable, with little or no discomfort - even when I had most of my teeth removed, and four impacted molars dug out. They have never made me feel bad about my mouth, and how nasty it was, and when I am being treated, they take their time with me, and make me feel like I am their total focus, for as long as it takes to do what needs to be done. I am thrilled about this process of getting my mouth restored, and cannot wait to be able to smile again with my new, beautiful teeth! The Best Dental Office in Horry County! This past Monday I had 4 teeth extracted. I was sedated for the procedure, and did not feel anything. After waking up, I was pain free. Having a phobia and panic attacks at previous dental offices. This place was a lifesaver. From the front desk staff, the hygienist and Dr.Mills himself ( so happened we have the same last name, I'm not related in anyway and was the first time we had met- lol) today is Wednesday and I am back to work pain free. Not many dental offices do sedation dentistry in horry county. Thank you again. ☆☆☆☆☆ More

That worked out great, because home is 7 hours away! All team members were friendly, made sure all of my questions were answered and my needs were met. I was thanked repeatedly for both coming early and driving from GA for my appointment. Carla went out of her way to make sure my next 6 month visit was scheduled around my work schedule and to allow for another 7 hour commute. My visit reminded me, once again, why I choose Dr. Mills and Market Common Dentistry instead of a local dentist in Atlanta. I got an amazing cleaning, a thorough check by Dr. Mills, as well as an oral cancer and neck screening. The team's meticulous notes led to another pain- free experience, meant that I did not have to remind them that I liked the power-scaler, or wanted a blue toothbrush! Dr. Mills took time to ask about "life", check on my overall health, and even make a breakfast recommendation before I left town! He and his staff made a plan of attack and we started on our journey and I'm happy to say today that I am back catcher to having a happy healthy smile and doing preventative maintenance twice a year. The dental changes of being over 55 required extensive restoration of My once attractive smile. I needed several visits and one tooth fractured which doctor mills cleverly fixed with a temporary one tooth retainer.  I just want to say I Love Love my million dollar smile from dr. Always a (relatively)  pleasant experience...esp. with the massage dental chair.  Love their modern equipment for tooth cleaning--NO scraping; super high-power water tools. Dr. Mills--of jocular demeanor--does thorough exams, including the neck (for moles, growths, swollen lymph nodes).  They do excellent holistic treatment plans vs. simply resolve any presenting issues.   The only reason I didn't rate them "5-star" is due to the cost of treatments--but that is somewhat unfair as my basis is the cost of treatment we received abroad for 11 years (~1/3 the cost) where costs were lower and our visa status accorded us a 15% discount. Becky did my cleaning and gave me instructions on what to do at home to keep up with my teeth. I then had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Mills who I chose to see. He and the staff are a delight. You cannot ask for a more friendly group. Great customer service they do everything they can to make you feel at home. I go four times a year for a deep cleaning and at one time I did not like going but since I've move hear I'm much more relaxed about going. Was so very pleased with Dr Mills Assistant Jennifer. She made me feel very welcome & was concerned about my problem When Dr Mills came in he also made me feel very comfortable & concerned. I was at ease with them both. Dr Mills is happy & it helps you feel relaxed. I am not nervous at the dentist office like so many other people are but meeting them both made me so very comfortable. I've had bad teeth all my life, so going to the dentist was never a pleasant occasion for me. So I was very nervous when I finally gave in and got some major work done. Had 3 wisdom teeth pulled. Waited 43 years and decided better now than later. Ive always felt comfortable with Dr.Mills so I decided to let him have at it. I was a nervous wreak but before I knew it I was on my way home. Of course I decided to be knocked out during the procedure (worth it). I had complications with the healing in a lower (which was impacted). For at least 8 days life sucked but long story short the staff was concerned everyday even getting me in immediately to make sure I was going to live lol. 3 visits in 8 days and Dr. mills even said come back every day if needed. I love that about the Doc. He’s got a good since of humor which makes u feel better anyway. Just keep in mind knowbody knows the exact science to healing the body. Be prepared for the worst but expect the best when extracting wisdom teeth. As much as we all hate the dentist I can say I’m comfortable letting Dr. Mills take a little bit of my wisdom. More

I made my first visit to Market Common Dentistry on July 3, 2018. I am very anxious when it comes to dental work.  I needed to find a dentist that was willing to help me get through the anxiety of dental work and I believe I found it.When I first arrived I was greeted my a pleasant office atmosphere and the girls at the front desk were so kind and warm.  The first technician I met was Rhonda.  She took all my x rays and asked lots of questions, which I found re-assuring.  Waiting to have my teeth cleaned Dr. Mills stopped in to greet me.  I was impressed.Then I met my hygienist, Becky.  She was so kind and careful to make sure I was comfortable while she cleaned by teeth.  I have been in a lot of dental offices in the past and was impressed how technologically advanced their office is.  This proved to be true by how quickly my teeth were cleaned and how efficient the process was.Dr. Mills is full of humor and knowledge.  His words to me were "you are in the drivers seat." Normally I go back to NJ to my dentist because I have a lot of trust in him. I knew I should seek a dentist in Myrtle Beach but get on postponing it. However, on Friday 4/20 I woke up with a toothache I knew would get a lot worse if I didn't have it treated. Research DR Mills and heard good things about him but I knew it would take a miracle to get me in on short notice. Lisa ( my heroine) did the impossible and got me in the same day. Unfortunately the tooth had to be extracted and I was scared. Everything was explained to me and the extraction was done today 5 hours ago. I was from out of state, with two more days to go before heading back home. I had developed a toothache while on vacation, and for three days had been applying Orajel to the point of nausea. I contacted Market Common Dentistry, who fit me into their afternoon schedule. The staff was amazing, and sympathetic towards my situation. The Doctor was wonderful!! Dr. Mills, his office, his work, and his staff are amazing. I never have to wait, they answer all your questions before you even get to ask. This place is amazing. His technology is up to date or better. They have comfortable, heated, massage chairs and you get to watch TV throughout your visit. I love that I don't have to worry about germs here either as it's super clean. It's so important now a days to be able to go into a healthcare facility and feel safe.
