"Highly recommend Dr.Mills at Market Common Dentistry . I have severe anxiety and dental phobia . He put my mind at ease from the very first appt. Went in for my procedure( filling and cleaning) and was given a concoction of meds to help me relax. I would otherwise hyperventilate and have a panic attack. I can’t tell you what happened after that as I don’t remember and that’s how I like it . So 5/5 stars for sure."- A.O. / Facebook / Feb 23, 2021
"So I am full timing in my RV all over the country and want to make sure I keep up with my pearly whites ;D... Well after looking all over the Myrtle Beach area I found Market Common Dentistry. Amanda was very patient and helpful in getting me into an appointment last minute before I left South Carolina. So much so that she called me back and moved my original appointment a few weeks out to the very next day! The day of my appointment I walked in and was greeted by Diane and Amanda who were welcoming and awesome. The office is really nice clean and put together. After a few minutes Christine my Hygienist came out to get me and brought me back to handle my cleaning. She was personable professional and on top of her game. I asked for a waterpik (which by the way is awesome) she didn't hesitate and said no problem. I have been to other establishments and they acted like it was a pain in the butt to break those out but for Christine and Market Common, it was no big deal :D. After the quick but thorough cleaning Dr. Latvis came in to check everything out including some other concerns I had. He was super patient, warm and I didn't feel rushed at all as he answered all my questions. After that Christine walked me out giving me some gnarly swag along the way including a sticker and toothbrush/toothpaste. At that point Diane took my payment and made sure I was happy and set up for the next city I'm in. (Also Carla checked if I had Insurance lol) This place is perfect if you're a resident here or just passing through, A+++"- J.S. / Google / Mar 19, 2021

So I have had much dental work in my life and this practice is an A+Care, skill, newest technologies you get it it all at this practice. So from a cleaning or a routine cavity to an implant or sleep apnea device you will not go wrong here."- M.R. / Yelp / May 06, 2021
The ADA (American Dental Association) recommends patients have a professional cleaning two times per year. Children should have a visit to the dentist before they turn one and following that, we can help you decide when your child is old enough for their next appointment. A cleaning may help you avoid cavities because the built-up plaque, the main reason for tooth decay, is removed. A dental cleaning will also remove stains and tartar from your teeth. If you want to freshen your breath, brighten your smile, improve your overall health, and avoid spending money on more expensive treatments, make an appointment for a dental cleaning at Market Common Dentistry.
What To Expect
Your cleaning will begin by addressing the tartar and plaque buildup from your enamel, which is challenging to remove at home with just daily brushing and flossing. Professional equipment is used to scale buildup without affecting the enamel. To begin, a device with ultrasonic technology breaks up large areas of plaque and tartar with a lubricating mist and high-speed vibrations. Next, handheld tools, such as a scaler or curette, will remove any remaining buildup. Every tooth will be treated individually to get all the plaque and tartar. After your teeth have been scaled, your enamel will be carefully polished to remove stains. If requested or needed, a professional fluoride treatment will be completed following your cleaning.
Dr. James E, Mills & Associates may recommend cleanings more often if you have other oral health concerns, such as periodontal disease. Throughout your appointment, the doctor or an assistant on his team will help you design a routine for good oral health at home by recommending dental products and demonstrating techniques that can focus on your concerns. These are advantageous for your teeth, wallet, and overall health so be sure to attend your dental appointments at Market Common Dentistry.
