I’ve been going to Dr.Latvis for a few major dental appointments and each one of them was painless with the oral sedation. I went SEVEN YEARS without going to the dentist due to my extreme anxiety. I cried my first appointment before it even started because I was so scared but the assistants were very caring and reassuring that I had nothing to be scared of. They were right because every appointment was painless and stress-free! With the major dental work i received, I never felt a thing. I always felt comfortable, acknowledged and taken care of. My experience at this dentist was very disappointing. I felt that they were all about money and my first visit for a general cleaning turned into 50 X-rays and cleaning methods that weren’t explained to me. The cost was exorbitant, almost $500. and then they took another $100. out of my credit card for future work, which I made them refund. I was going to give them another try because I was having a problem with a tooth that they recommended I should have a crown. I made an appointment, and the day before my appointment, they called me and said they gave my appointment slot away because they thought I was looking for a PPO group and they didn’t participate in my insurance. I told them I was worried that I might have an infection, and they told me they would call if something opened up. They never did call and I found reputable new dentist, whom I very pleased with. More

For about 5 years now this has been the best dentist I’ve ever been to. They really do care about the patient. Everybody is always so friendly & thorough, and Dr Mills is a hilarious guy who I’ve never seen in a poor mood. Thank you for the high level of service! More

Sadly I have terrible teeth both genetically and as a result of a disease I suffer from called Gastroparesis that causes much vomiting. So I have had much dental work in my life and this practice is an A+Care, skill, newest technologies you get it it all at this practice. So from a cleaning or a routine cavity to an implant or sleep apnea device you will not go wrong here. More

Christine is a fabulous dental hygienist.  Am NOT a fan of going-to-the-dentist (after having to have ALL my baby teeth pulled as a child; then, a decade+ of orthodontia and fillings (since we had no fluoride on our water, i.e. deemed a Communist conspiracy in the ’50s); then on to several decades of periodontal treatments/root canals/crowns and (elective) veneers...aside from wisdom teeth extractions.I swear, I have spent a large part of my life in a dental chair.  (I have financed, I conjecture, the sailboats and antique collections of previous dentists)  Thus, I have deep-rooted disquietude whenever I have to go to the dentist.That being said, although I still do not wake up w. a spring-in-my-step on days when I have a dental appt, Christine and Dr. Mills do their very best to make my visits (every 3 months) beyond bearable.I highly recommend Market Common Dentistry--for their skill, long-term care plans, and comfort during treatments. I’m new to Myrtle beach so me and my fiancé wanted to find a good neighborhood dentist! We are so glad we found Market common Dentistry! He and his staff made a plan of attack and we started on our journey and I'm happy to say today that I am back catcher to having a happy healthy smile and doing preventative maintenance twice a year. Not only is he and his staff great at dentistry they are all great people. I actually enjoyed my visit to the dentist now. The dental changes of being over 55 required extensive restoration of My once attractive smile. I needed several visits and one tooth fractured which doctor mills cleverly fixed with a temporary one tooth retainer.  I just want to say I Love Love my million dollar smile from dr. Mills and I look 15 years younger in any photograph. If you have a Teeth problem, trust dr mills to figure it And save your teeth. Always a (relatively)  pleasant experience...esp. with the massage dental chair.  Love their modern equipment for tooth cleaning--NO scraping; super high-power water tools. Dr. Mills--of jocular demeanor--does thorough exams, including the neck (for moles, growths, swollen lymph nodes).  They do excellent holistic treatment plans vs. simply resolve any presenting issues.   The only reason I didn't rate them "5-star" is due to the cost of treatments--but that is somewhat unfair as my basis is the cost of treatment we received abroad for 11 years (~1/3 the cost) where costs were lower and our visa status accorded us a 15% discount. More

I made my first visit to Market Common Dentistry on July 3, 2018. I am very anxious when it comes to dental work.  I needed to find a dentist that was willing to help me get through the anxiety of dental work and I believe I found it.When I first arrived I was greeted my a pleasant office atmosphere and the girls at the front desk were so kind and warm.  The first technician I met was Rhonda.  She took all my x rays and asked lots of questions, which I found re-assuring.  Waiting to have my teeth cleaned Dr. Mills stopped in to greet me.  I was impressed.Then I met my hygienist, Becky.  She was so kind and careful to make sure I was comfortable while she cleaned by teeth.  I have been in a lot of dental offices in the past and was impressed how technologically advanced their office is.  This proved to be true by how quickly my teeth were cleaned and how efficient the process was.Dr. Mills is full of humor and knowledge.  His words to me were "you are in the drivers seat." We will give you recommendations after our exam and it will be your decision as to where we go next.I came home feeling very good about this visit.  Which was not always the case with other dentists offices.Please go on their website and check this practice out.  My first impression was relief.  Thank you to Dr. Mills and staff! Normally I go back to NJ to my dentist because I have a lot of trust in him. I knew I should seek a dentist in Myrtle Beach but get on postponing it. However, on Friday 4/20 I woke up with a toothache I knew would get a lot worse if I didn't have it treated. Research DR Mills and heard good things about him but I knew it would take a miracle to get me in on short notice. Lisa ( my heroine) did the impossible and got me in the same day. Unfortunately the tooth had to be extracted and I was scared. Everything was explained to me and the extraction was done today 5 hours ago. Dr Mills did his best to keep me relax and amused and painlessly removed the tooth. Think I have found the dentist I can trust in MB More

Just a minor issue but needed a check on a bridge that I thought might be coming loose. They got me in right away and dr. sexton was reassuring after a check that things seemed to be okay. He suggested I try to  couple of gummy bears and see if it comes out. He is hilarious and a good dentist. He is leaving the practice as he lives in Mt. PLeasant and much too far of travel. I will miss him. The office staff are terrific. More
